Years ago, when I still lived in Pittsburgh, I attended a Bible study at the home of another couple in our church. I loved their home. It was very comfortable and welcoming. One of the things I loved the most was the scripture a friend of their had painted on the wall of their livingroom. It was the first thing guests saw when they entered the house and left no question about what they believed. Kind of reminiscent of Deuteronomy 6:6-9: These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
My online friend Tonya has made it easy for us to write words on our walls that share our convictions with those who enter our homes. Her work is beautiful. http://www.fruitfulvinecreations.com/blog/2008/08/august-sale-of-month.html
Another online friend is sponsoring a contest this week to give away one of Tonya's creations. Read about her contest here: http://becomingawomanofvirtue.blogspot.com/2008/08/helping-you-decorate-your-heart-and.html
Take a look at the beautiful creations Tonya has to beautify the walls of your home in a unique way that makes a statement. Then enter Shanna's contest to win.
